Minnesota Duluth rallied from a late five-point deficit to score a 62-57 victory over Bemidji State in NSIC play Saturday at Romano Gym.

The Beavers (6-9 overall, 3-7 NSIC) went ahead by five with 4:19 to play, but the Bulldogs (6-8, 3-6) tied the game at 57-57 via a layup by sophomore Trevor Entwisle with 2:02 remaining. A 3-pointer by sophomore Luke Harris with 1:13 on the clock gave UMD the lead for good.

The Bulldogs outscored the Beavers 9-0 in the final 3:17.

Sophomore Brandon Myer of Superior led UMD in scoring with 21 points. Harris had 13.

Christian Pekarek had 16 points and Derek Thompson added 15 to pace the Beavers.

• St. Scholastica was held to just 36.7 percent shooting from the field in the second half of a 72-68 home loss to Northwestern (4-9, 3-2 UMAC) in UMAC play at Reif Gymnasium. The Saints (6-7, 3-3) hit 53.6 percent in the first half, leading 39-36. Nate Weets led CSS in scoring with 14 points and Zach Dahlman had 13.

• Wisconsin-Superior (4-11, 2-4) knocked off UMAC-leading Bethany Lutheran (8-6, 5-1) 85-82 in overtime at Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium. Shaq Coleman of Duluth led the Yellowjackets with 21 points and Colton Williams had 20. The Vikings tied the game at 66-66 with a layup with 1:13 to play in regulation. Superior led for the entire OT period thanks to a 3-pointer by Montroy Scott 10 seconds in.
