Lecturer to discuss the case for nuclear energy
Journalist Gwyneth Cravens will present “The Truth about Nuclear Energy,” a lecture that makes a case for nuclear power as a way to fight climate change, during the College of St. Scholastica’s upcoming Peace and Justice Lecture series.
Cravens, the author of “Power to Save the World: The Truth About Nuclear Energy,” presents at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Auditorium. It’s free and open to the public.
Cravens’ case is that nuclear power is a safe energy source and an essential preventative of global warming. She is making a call for environmental and technical communities to work together to reduce causes of climate change that can be tied to human activity.
The theme of this year’s four-part lecture series is “Sustainable Living.”
