Sushi restaurant coming to Superior
Get those Instagram filters ready: Superior is getting a sushi restaurant at 3333 Tower Ave., the former home of O’Neill’s Pub and Liquor, which closed at the end of 2016.
Co-owner Sandra Li, who runs two restaurants in Eau Claire, told the Superior Telegram the business will serve up Japanese fare, including a hibachi grill and sushi. She said they’re also considering offering a sushi buffet.
“We didn’t see any of this kind of Japanese cuisine here,” Li said. “We’re going to bring that food culture to Superior.”
The restaurant, named Wasabi for now, could be open by late April.
Local real estate agent Ryan Bayless with Re/Max Results, who helped in the sale of the property, said renovations are planned for the building over the next few months.
“It’s something new and innovative for Superior, and we’re wishing them the best of success,” Bayless said.
Superior will also be getting a Solon Springs favorite, KD’s Family Restaurant, which is moving into the former Cenex at 1706 Tower Ave. and should open in the next few weeks.
